Italian pianist Ludovico Einaudi has been captivating audiences for the best part of two decades with his beautifully delicate and minimal arrangements, many of which have gone on to become soundtrack staples for everything from costume dramas to TV adverts to Hollywood films.

The P&G ‘Proud Sponsor of Mums’ advert is being aired again to coincide with Mother’s Day no doubt. Since our post written below in 2011, Mary-Jess‘s album has now been released and is available at iTunes as well as the track used in the advert ‘Stand as One‘.
As seen on the latest P&G ‘Proud Sponsor of Mum’s advert; the song featured is ‘Stand as One‘ by new classical singing star Mary-Jess. Student Mary-Jess Leaverland won China’s answer to The X Factor. The 21-year-old from Gloucester found herself on the road to musical stardom after spending a year in China as part of her University course in Music and Mandarin. She has recently finished supporting Russell Watson on his UK Tour and signed a record contract with Decca at the Royal Albert Hall at the beginning of May.
Mary-Jess’s debut album is due for release on August 8th 2011.
