As seen on This Morning – Vuzix Video iWear – 280 Sunglasses

As seen on This Morning‘s travel gadget and gizmo section, Phillip Scofield and Jenni Falconer tried out the Vuzix Video Sunglasses. Although hard to recreate the effect of these sunglasses on TV, both Phil and Jenni were impressed with quality of the picture. As they should be, as watching a film with these glasses is equivalent to viewing a 51-inch display viewed from a 10ft distance, they can also be used to watch 3D films!

About the Vuzix iWear Video Sunglasses

Simply slip on these lightweight cyber-shades and prepare to be totally blown away by a fully immersive audiovisual assault. That's right, we said audiovisual because these slimline shades even boast integrated (but removable) earphones.

Ingenious optical trickery allows all Vuzix iWear to replicate the effect of watching a big screen from a safe viewing distance. Don't ask us how- all we know is it's like having a high-quality home cinema grafted on your retinas. What's more these hi-tech specs are 3D enabled for automatic 2D/3D control. Unbelievable!

You can opt for the Wrap 280 or Wrap 920 versions (both are ace), each having their own range of features. The iWear Wrap 280 version transforms your piffling little iPod screen into the equivalent of a 51-inch display viewed from a 10ft distance, so the advantages in quality and your ability to immerse yourself in what you're watching are huge. What's more, you can even watch 3D movies on it – talk about keeping up with the Joneses. Even better, the Wrap 280 has both a 16:10 and 4:3 aspect capability – widescreen! This is the only product on the market that offers this feature, so you can feel all smug as you see absolutely everything the director intended. You can also adjust the contrasts and volume (there are some pretty nifty noise-reducing earphones attached) to your heart's content, or so you can still hear the train announcements.

The big picture – without the big shades!

If you're looking for the ultimate big screen experience without looking like Geordi off Star Trek's biggest fan, look no further than iWear Wrap 920s. Fashioned to resemble regular sunglasses, these sleek shades are capable of replicating the effect of a huge 67″ screen viewed from approximately 9ft. Wow! Despite their lack of heft, these versatile specs are compatible with almost any video device, from iPods, iPhones and portable DVD players to camcorders and gaming systems. Believe us, once you've watched a movie in crystal clear high resolution 2D and 3D via twin widescreen displays, you'll never want to take your Wrap 920s off – except perhaps to rub your eyes in total amazement.

Both models are incredibly easy to use – simply attach your media device of choice, play a movie and sit back. There's an in-line remote that allows you to adjust anything you feel like adjusting, volume and contrast and such, and the stylish look of the glasses themselves makes the whole operation almost imperceptible. Your only concern might be giggling ungainly at the latest comedy whilst looking like a total maniac to your travel companions. As long as you keep that under control, these Vuzix Video iWear packages are the business.
