ASUS Transformer Prime TF201 – better than the iPad2?
As seen on SFTW, the latest version of the ASUS EeePad Transformer Prime, the quad-core TF201 is released this month (Janurary 2012). It features an ultra slim lightweight design, 10.1” display and a keyboard docking station that transforms the tablet into PC mode with a full-size QWERTY keyboard. The most important spec on the new Transformer is the quad-core, 1.3GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 processor; as Lucy Hedges explained this could make the Asus up to 5 times faster than similar Tablets. It also improves the battery life with Transformer Prime lasting for an amazing 18 hours.
The price quoted on Something for the Weekend was £500, however as the TF201 has just been released there may be limited availability. We've had a shop around and found it at Currys and Comet for £499 with free delivery.
