Morphsuits – as seen at a Halloween Party near you!

Morphsuits – As seen on TV? Look carefully, they're popping up everywhere!

There's something unashamedly wonderful about dressing up for Halloween and those feelings of freedom can be taken to a new level with the next big thing in the costume arena – the Morphsuit, as seen at the Rugby World Cup or as seen on the front of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival programme.

The Morphsuits come in a wide number of designs, from full body flags to bright eye-catching block colours, as well as in Halloween character designs such as zombies and ghosts.

For those that don't know what a Morphsuit is. It is a long Lycra costume that stretches from head to toe, covering the face and all of the body in a style akin to that of Spiderman. Their increasing popularity is of no surprise and they offer a fun, innovative and unique way to dress up for Halloween, or any other occasion for that matter. The suits allow a full body covering and so allow you to be fully in character, or colour for the period of time you wear the suit.

The suits also are adorned in a number of wacky patterns and frankly look surreal. The thin film of material offers extreme flexibility and are easily seen out of, making them a huge hit. The mind-bending designs have seen Morphsuits become popular at festivals, where they often drop into view, and you may have seen them in TV shots at Glastonbury or other festivals over the summer. You can also expect to see the suits for Christmas, with a range of Santa and snowman Morphsuits.

Show your Pride, but gents, wear shorts if you don't want to show much more than your pride!

As a matter of fact, these innovative suits, designed by three Scots have, taken the world by storm and Morphsuits currently has over 1,000,000 Facebook followers, more than Guinness or Nestle. The company partially say they owe their popularity to their customer focused social media campaigns. On Facebook they allow followers to think of captions, design their own suits – which are often put into production and to engage with the company on a personal level.

The year of the Morphsuit is upon us, so expect to see more of the Lycra clad coloured suits on individuals in the coming weeks and months.
